Road Trip Destination: TLC Rescue!!

In June, we celebrate TLC’s 9th birthday and a huge milestone for this rescue.  How huge?  Let us explain…. 

Only one player in MLB history has recorded 5,000 career strikeouts. In the NFL, players have passed for over 5,000 yards just twelve times, and by only eight different players. Five thousand is a huge deal, and on August 22,  2021, TLC officially joined the “5,000 Club” with our 5,000th adoption: Beth. 

Beth’s road to her happily ever after was certainly not easy. Abandoned in a cardboard box on the side of the highway with her siblings, she was scheduled to travel north to TLC in June, but was bumped due to a skin issue that had to be cleared before she could have a place on a transport. Dubbed “The Carton Cuties,” they finally arrived in mid-July, where most of them spent over a month in foster homes before they were adopted. 

One might expect a pup with a beginning such as Beth’s to have difficulty trusting people, but she immediately proved herself to be a happy, loving, playful puppy. It was easy to fall in love with her. Despite her lovable personality, it took some time for Beth to find her family. She couldn’t have timed it better, because there isn’t a more perfect story for our 5,000th adoption. From a tattered box by a highway to a cozy home with a loving family, Beth has had quite the journey. And thankfully, a journey with a very happy ending.
