And she lived happily ever after…

After one very long year of white hot pain and meeting so many new doctor friends, and another year of waiting, I’m finally home.

It finally happened!  I can’t believe it!  My dreams have come true!  My prayers have been answered!  I feel like a princess!

I finally have my most beautiful loving caring happy furever family!!!

A few months ago, my foster mom started spending a lot of time on the phone but kept taking the calls from another room.  I barked at her a lot until she finally gave in and told me that a family who already has a TLC pup (and a few others!) wanted to meet me.  She didn’t want me to get my hopes up, but they sounded pretty great.  They asked great questions and understood how perfectly special I am.  Believe it or not, they were one of the only families who wanted to meet me after learning all about my surgeries, my past and my adorable sassy diapers.  I knew I had to meet them.

And I fell deeply and madly in love.  They live in Vermont which means it’s cold most of the time (glitter rain is my favorite!)  I have THREE puppy siblings who are all fluffy like me (even though they’re all much smaller.)  My new dad takes me jogging.  Mom loves to snuggle.  And I’m most excited about my human sibling!  We are already besties who do everything together!  They are the most thoughtful people.  We finalized my official adoption on my 2nd birthday, which makes that day even more special for me.

I have to take a minute to thank my incredible foster family who will always and forever be just that… family.  They raised me, nursed me through some of the toughest days, took better care of me than I’ve ever known, and made me the floof I am today.  For that, I will be forever grateful.

To TLC Rescue, you never gave up on me.  You never hesitated at the next doctor visit or the next test to get to the bottom of my pain.  I couldn’t be luckier to land in the safety & dedication of such a wonderful rescue.

To all of the humans (and furry friends) who supported me, to everyone who donated to my vet bills, to the community who came to see me, read my blog and kept cheering me on, I am so thankful for you all!  623 days is a long time to wait.  $20,000 is a lot of money in vet bills.  Spending the rest of my life with my new family is my dream come true and I know it wouldn’t be possible without every dollar, every prayer, every single one of you.  Thank you!
