Margot
Margot (formerly Mia)’s journey is a perfect example of how "it takes a village" to make a success story.
Rescued just one day before her scheduled euthanasia at 12 weeks old, Margot was initially a fragile, shut-down puppy, barely clinging to life. Thanks to Misty, a TLC rescue partner in Mississippi, Margot began her recovery. In November 2023, her journey continued when her foster welcomed her to Pennsylvania, where Margot slowly started to play and learn from the family’s dogs, transforming into a happy, healthy puppy.
Her foster remarked that Margot’s “ordinary” experiences were truly extraordinary given her rough start.
“Margot was terrified and seemingly shut down when she arrived…and with time, we watched her become more confident and willing to experience everything around her. Watching her evolve throughout her Butterfly Era was amazing, and our time with her was filled with waggy tails and endless dog kisses. ”
Though Margot made great strides, she was still apprehensive in new situations and struggled with crate training and leash walking. Through patience and guidance, Margot’s foster helped her overcome her fears, and by the time Margot attended another TLC event, she was more confident and open.
At that event, Margot met her forever family, and it was clear they were meant to be. She’s thriving in her new home, surrounded by love. Thanks to the collective efforts of TLC’s partners, volunteers, and supporters, Margot’s life was forever changed.
“We saw the potential in Margot, and our loving home has brought out her confidence and playful nature. Margot is goofy and entertaining, and we love everything about her. ”
